TAKE A BITE OUT OF HUNGER
Back By Popular Demand “Raucous” Dance and Classic Rock n’ Roll
Come be part of the solution to hunger in Ocean Shores. Join us (April 18, 2020) for a night of fun and good food.
The Ocean Shores Food Bank’s annual benefit fund raising event at the Ocean Shores Convention Center, comes at a time when ‘…it’s no surprise the need continues to grow,” Executive Director Sandy Harley told the local non-profit’s 85 volunteers in a recent email. “We saw an increase of 11% from 2018 to 2019.”
The event includes a silent auction, live auction, dinner, dancing, and music by the popular, Seattle-based rock ‘n roll band. The evening begins with a huge silent auction, which fills the front hall of the Convention Center. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., then it’s time to rock out and dance at 7. After their first set, the live auction will take place, followed by more music and dancing.
The Ocean Shores Food Bank in 2019 served 5,644 households, 15,094 individuals and distributed 227,236 pounds of food. More than 85 volunteers clocked in 10,480 hours of their time.
