NEW to the food bank?

What you need to bring and how you qualify...

  • There are no qualification requirements. We turn no one away.

  • At your first distribution (any Thursday), a volunteer will assist you in completing a registration card.

 

  • We ask only for information that we are required to maintain: your name, address, number in household, and birth dates.

  • Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us, and your individual information will not be shared.  We do not ask for Social Security numbers or proof of income.

 

  • You will be given an Ocean Shores Food Bank (OSFB) name card to bring with you on all future visits. You will also be given an entry number.

  • If it is your first visit, a volunteer will assist you during your shopping experience when your number is called. They will answer any questions you may have.

 

  • At the end of your shopping experience, a volunteer will assist you in getting your food to your vehicle.

The following types of food are generally available:

OSFB offers a grocery-style shopping model. We attempt to have a standard selection of items from which you may choose. Generally, you may expect to see the following:

  • Canned fruits and vegetables

  • Cereals

  • Canned beans/proteins

  • Canned tuna and chicken

  • Soups

  • Tomato products

  • Pasta and macaroni

  • Frozen vegetables and meats

  • Desserts

  • Eggs and bread

  • Onions and potatoes

  • Dry goods such as rice, beans, cornmeal, etc.

 

During the summer months, we offer fresh vegetables from our garden.

Pet Food Available:

Through designated funds, we are happy to be able
to offer dog and cat food to our furry friends.
